NINE LIVES has only been playing a couple of gigs per month-which is alright, since the Minnesota winters are so unforgiving! But we have also been writing and rehearsing our OWN music, which is the reason for the band being together. we have went through alot of changes, in the past year, and are thankful to everyone who has contributed to the project "Nine LIVES".  2009 brings more changes, with going into the studio, possible lineup changes and a NEW name for the band. We promise to keep those who care, updated! If you have any questions, please feel free to hit us up on our MYSPACE page.

Aiinin! It has been a long time since I wrote. A few changes have taken place since then. We have played many shows, with great reviews-Thank you to everyone who has supported us in our musical journey. It is really about a group of people that have the same interest in enjoying what we are doing, and performing it in a way that others can connect with. It is pure joy to see people have a great time-Thats what it is about for me. The last few months we have written some great songs, that we have been playing in our shows. Adrian Liberty, Mike Borth, John Domrese and I had created somethings that were very special to us all. I want to thank Mr. Liberty for the time we had with him in practice, on stage and as a friend. Due to the strains of my vocals and other difficulties I didn't know if we were going in the same direction. In August, Mr. Pete Humphries joined 9LVS. I struggled with the some health issues the last year, and those close to me, knew what was going on. I went as far to say that I wanted to quit playing and focus on my health. Once I started saying that-Friends and people I didn't know gave me encouragement to continue. I have been dealing with a hereditary disease called Lupus, which from time to time, can make things difficult for me in daily life. I also have to have surgery next week, for mutiple hernias in my upper abdomen which may have been there from a serious car accident I was in some 16 years ago. I am also having gastroscopy, which they will go into my throat in the event to cure the acid reflux disease that has changed my voice.
The good news from this is I am strong willed, and have many good close friends that believe I will come back stronger than ever to complete our album release. We plan on being on track for our Halloween weekend gig at the Bemidji Legion, providing all goes well. Thank you so much for the support...I will try to write more, iin the next week, after I feel better. I am praying alot and preparing to heal from the inside out. Thank you again, to all the folks that have supported us as artists, and all our family members that have stood by in the tough times. Miigwetch! We will see you again, very soon!

Aiinin- Thank you for all the well wishes! By the grace of the creator, I am doing great. I feel great and have done alot of soul searching. Thats one good thing I can say about the down time-it made me realize once again, exactley why I am here. I guess we all need to be humbled once in awhile. We are still set to play Halloween, and we have a great new addition to our project. Mike Frazer has dedicated alot of time and effort into wanting to do sound for us. He has top of the line quality equiptment. The sound system is just as important as a member of the band, if not more. We are thankful to have him, encouraging and lendng us his talent. Back to practice this week, and I want to thank Skogie and his studio staff for patiently waiting for us, and staying on top of things, to make sure we get our album going.
Also, a big thank you for all the area musicians that have given us support-I have learned alot, and that is sometime a tough feat, for a stubborn person like myself! bracing for the winter and weathering the storm...Thank you, all of my love....
